The JLMF is dedicated to:
• Making medical care accessible to the poorest in Ecuador.
• Educating patients about preventative medical care.
• Partnering with mission participants to serve community healthcare needs.

 

Ecuador is a beautiful country with wonderful people, rich heritage and amazing culture, but so many Ecuadorians live in poverty and require medical care that they could not possibly afford.

The poorest Ecuadorians earn as little as $4 a day, so receiving quality healthcare is virtually impossible without outside help -- and that is where JLMF supporters and our medical team are making a significant impact.

> Spring 2009 Dental Mission
a great success!
Over 300 patients were treated, providing approximately $36,000 of free dental care. The range of care included fillings as well as the pulling of some teeth.

> Fall 2009 Surgical Mission to
Esmeraldes, Ecuador
JLMF just completed their 5th medical mission to Ecuador to serve those most in need. They performed cleft lip, cleft palatte and hand surgeries on 27 patients in 4 days.
