Making A Difference
- In 2007 we performed the first Clinical Mission, helping over
2500 patients in 4 days.
- In 2007, our first Surgical Mission took place. We performed cleft lip
and cleft palate surgeries on children who ranged from 2 months to
14 years old.
- We partnered with Ecuadorian Air Force physicians, staff and support structures.
- We formed partnerships with the Rotary Club in Quito, Ecuador, the American Embassy staff and indigineous community leaders.
- We developed links with local TV and radio outlets.
What We Need:
- Your financial support.

- Continued strong links between our efforts and the
Ecuadorian government.

Spring 2009 Dental Mission
a great success!
Over 300 patients were treated, providing approximately $36,000 of free dental care. The range of care included fillings as well as the pulling of some teeth.

Fall 2009 Surgical Mission to
Esmeraldes, Ecuador
JLMF just completed their 5th medical mission to Ecuador to serve those most in need. They performed cleft lip, cleft palatte and hand surgeries on 27 patients in 4 days.

Partnering with the Ecuadorian Air Force gives us the needed
doctors, transportation, hospital and security in order to treat
patients. Clinical missions include specialty care in obstetrics,
dermatology, OB/GYN, internal medicine, dentistry and
optometry. Surgical missions include plastic surgeons and
oral surgeons to perform cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries.
We also collaborate with physicians and volunteers from
around the nation to make these missions possible. |
