Medical Missions to Ecuador Judith Lombeida Medical Foundation Judith Lombeida Medical Foundation
. . . This woman, over 70, now has the ability to see out of both eyes after a 10 minute surgical procedure. She is just one of over 2800 patients our foundation served during our 5-day clinical mission in August 2008.

Dr. Judith Lombeida's Legacy
The Judith Lombeida Medical Foundation was founded in memory and in honor of Colonel Judith Lombeida, MD for the purpose of continuing her legacy of serving the critical medical needs of poor indigenous people in Central and South America.

The foundation, a non-profit corporation, was founded shortly after her tragic death in July 2006.

Curing her lifetime and 19-year career in the United States Air Force, Colonel Lombeida participated and led many medical missions, serving thousands of needy patients. For her passion and dedication, Dr. Lombeida was awarded one of Ecuador's highest military medals, "The Star of the Armed Forces," making her the only woman to receive this prestigious honor.
