Clinical Medical Mission
Medical missions include care in pediatrics, optometry, dentistry, internal medicine, dermatology and other general medicine specialties. This year, we saw over 600 patients a day in our 4-day clinical mission.
Surgical Missions Surgical Missions address the population's great need for general surgery, obstetric/gynecology, opthalmology, and plastic surgery (cleft lip, cleft palate, and burn victims). The 5-day surgical mission focused on babies and children in need of cleft lip and cleft palate surgeries.

Our first medical missions in 2007 focused on the critical
needs of the local population in the Andes Mountains of
Ecuador. Their poor health is caused by a lack of basic
services such as water and electricity, which leads to
respiratory infections, dental complications and
visual impairments. One mission site is in close
proximity to an active volcano whose ash covers
the entire area. This produces respiratory
infections easily alleviated with the Foundation
providing respiratory inhalers and masks.
